Performance & Processing: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Still Rules
Under the hood, the OnePlus 12R is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. While newer chips have entered the market, the Gen 2 remains an absolute juggernaut in efficiency and raw computational muscle. Coupled with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, applications launch instantly, and heavy titles like BGMI or Genshin Impact run at sustained peak frame rates without aggressive thermal throttling.
For Indian consumers dealing with fluctuating ambient temperatures, the phone’s Cryo-Velocity Cooling System proves exceptionally reliable. Extended gaming sessions or prolonged outdoor navigation do not trigger alarming heat spikes, ensuring consistent longevity of internal hardware.
Display, Battery Life & Daily Ergonomics
The device features a stunning 6.78-inch ProXDR AMOLED display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness rating of 4500 nits. This makes outdoor visibility under harsh Indian sunlight effortless. Furthermore, the massive 5500mAh battery paired with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging ensures that users can juice up from 0 to 100% in roughly 26 minutes, eradicating battery anxiety completely.
